The Air-MAX provides FIFO, First In, First Out Material Flow. Excellent product blending and homogenization is also achieved through the use of the above pile harrow and screw reclaim.
Total Live Storage is achieved with the Air-MAX. 100% of the material stacked under the Air-MAX is accessible by the automated reclaimer requiring no mobile equiment or labor. Dust and particulate emissions are minimized by maintaining the stacker discharge on the material.
BRUKS Rockwood's pending patent applying the use of Totally Enclosed Air Supported Belt Conveyors with Stacker Reclaimer Technology also achieves significant design advantages. The present invention relates generally to stacker/ reclaimer devices and, more specifically, to an air cushion conveyor stacker reclaimer device and a method thereof, wherein air cushion conveyors facilitate cost-effective installation, minimize structural support requirements, reduce maintenance requirements, increase worker safety, and diminish potentially disadvantageous environmental impact from materials handling.
Similar to the COSR and OCR, the Air-MAX combines in one machine Fully Automated Stacking and Fully Automated Reclaiming. Operation of the Air-MAX is performed remotely. The Air-MAX includes a complete control room with PLC and MCC's. The Stacker and the Reclaimer can be controlled separately from different remote locations or DCS's.
