When chipping roundwood longer than 1.5 m, the disc chipper with horizontal infeed gives the best yield. The chips can be blown via a chip tube to a cyclone or discharged through the chipper bottom for smoother handling.
Disc diameters ranging from 1500 to 2500 mm, infeed openings from 330 to 650 mm and power ratings up to 800 kW result in capacities ranging from 40 to 300 cu.m. chips/hr. of the highest quality.
