Since the 1950s BRUKS-Klöckner develops and manufactures wood chippers and has more than 100 years of experiences in size reduction. BRUKS AB in Sweden develops and manufactures wood chippers since the 1970s and works for more than 50 years in the wood industry. With the fusion of both companies in the year 2000, we are shearing our knowledge and our experiences successful. Due to these traditions BRUKS is able to deliver chipping lines and chipping solutions as very well-developed products, containing the knowledge of two long-time competitors, consolidated now.

BRUKS stationary drum chippers are processing different kinds of input materials, like logs, slabs, sawmill wastes, butt ends, veneer wastes and other industrial wood wastes in all wood industry segments.

BRUKS stationary drum chippers or BRUKS turn-key chipping lines produce wood chips for many different kinds of demand. Especially should be mentioned the most difficult demands like the one step production of micro chips with chip thickness smaller 2 mm, suitable for the drying process in pellet plants. Also the production of TMP-Chips for the pulp and paper industry, with the highest quality standards of all different business sectors, should be pointed out. BRUKS produces high quality chips for further processing in Knife Ring Flakers for particle board industry, for refiners in MDF-plants and for energy purposes.

Technical description
BRUKS delivers drum chippers with controlled horizontal feeding by wear resistant feeding rollers and drum chipper with vertical gravity feeding. Both product lines are available in a wide range of capacities starting from small compact series up to heavy duty, high capacity machines. BRUKS delivered the biggest chippers worldwide with a drum diameter of 2.800 mm.

The wear parts of all machines are simple to replace in short maintenance times. They can be delivered in different kinds of wear resistant special alloys. Different designed knives, knife clamping devices, counter knives and screens ensure the best provided drum chipper for each purpose by highest durability.
Electro-hydraulic assisted changing of the counter knives anvil enables quick and easy access. Counter knife anvils are designed in heavy duty style for the processing of sophisticated big material inputs (panel board industry for example) or they are available with shear bolts to prevent damages by foreign bodies in lighter versions (for example saw mill purposes).

Other hydraulically options enable shorter maintenance stops, like hydraulically operated rotor turning device and cradle support or hydraulically locking of the rotor hood.
