The BRUKS 805 ECO is the fifth generation of BRUKS mobile chippers with a drum diameter of 800 mm. Its design is based on our experience from some 300 same-size mobile chipping units manufactured and sold by us. The 805 ECO is the latest development and a further improvement of its predecessors.
The chipper is powered by a separate diesel engine and designed to be installed on self-propelling vehicles like forwarders, trucks or tractor-towed trailers for the chipping of clear-cut residue or low-grade trees.
The chips are thrown out through a sliver breaker grate and via an integrated hydraulic chips accelerator (using no additional air, thus minimizing spillage and dust) through the hydraulically turnable chip tube with a hydraulically operated chip deflector. This design secures the “flight” of chips over a long range for chips from most different wood species. The discharge system is very energy efficient and is also very kind to the chips, to secure a chip quality with a low content of fines.
The aggressive feed works makes it possible to chip “bulky” material like slash from harvesters and tops from whole trees with very difficult thick branches.
A carrier vehicle with a payload capacity of approx 10 – 12 metric ton is suitable for this chipper. Crane/loader is normally powered from the vehicle engine but can also be powered from the chipper engine.
